Sussex PCC to chair Police ICT Company
Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne has been elected as chair of the Police ICT Company.
The Police ICT Company is a private company limited by guarantee established by Police and Crime Commissioners to support policing to make the public safer through better ICT.
The Company acts as a bridge between the policing, technological and commercial worlds, helping the service buy ICT better, manage it better and exploit new capabilities more quickly.
Mrs Bourne joins the Board of the Directors alongside two other PCC Commissioners, a representative of other policing governance bodies, MOPAC, a Chief Officer, a representative of the Police Technology Council, and the Home Office Chief Technology Officer. She will work closely with the Company’s chief executive officer Martin Wyke.
