Listen Live

The Commissioner's new Listen Live programme aims to run four individual summits at regular intervals throughout the year, each centred on a different priority from the PCC’s Police and Crime Plan to create a conversation about policing and crime in Sussex and how the PCC can effectively work with partners to provide solutions.

Fraud & Elder Exploitation - March 2017

The PCC's first Listen Live event, focussing on fraud and elder exploitation, was held at Brighton Jubilee Library on 23 March 2017. Chaired by Danny Pike from BBC Sussex the evening brought together high profile speakers from policing, banking, Trading Standards and Neighbourhood Watch to discuss the issue of fraud and scams which directly target older people.

Topics such as what agencies can do to protect residents against fraud, and clearer messaging about reporting were discussed, with audience members voting on key proposals at the end of the evening. You can watch the evening's debate here

Partners Together - September 2017

On Wednesday 27 September PCC Katy Bourne held her second crime summit at Sussex Coast College in Hastings.

More than 100 people attended to hear about the work being done behind-the-scenes with younger people to tackle anti-social behaviour.
